Single firm organic (Kinko, Kagoshima)

On a autmn day, we visited a family firm in Kinko, Kagoshima, to talk over gyokuro production in next year who are harvesting in their estateand proecssing in their factory both certified as organic in 2022.
They are welknown for award in 2021 for Harunoka.
One of their unique way is to keep their tea trees rather high because tea picking from low trees are heavy job for elder peoples supporting local frined supporting the owner, wife & hasband.
It is their solusion from their long study and effort to find best balance among good taste of crop, confortable work for peoples health etc. in tea industory.
